These are poster redesigns of some of my favorite movies.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an iconic classic horror film. The design is created exclusively in black and white, utilizing various different pictures of the characters in the film spread out and organized within the silhouette of the killer. It gives off the impression that the killer is over looming, almost oppressive, installing fear like in the film.
Oppenheimer is a documentary of historic events, the creation and usage of the bomb. The movie poster relies on a lot of abstraction as little is displayed yet the feeling each asset gives off is ominous and are important markers of the movie itself. Itβs meant to give viewers a sense of the movie without spoiling too much of the events. The reflective explosion in the goggles gives the audience a glimpse into the destruction the bomb caused. The bloody badge representing, not only Oppenheimer himself as it was his, but also the blood shed from the explosion. The meaning of each of these assets compiles into a greater message. The color palette used were Orange and Black to resemble the explosion.
These movie posters were all created using Adobe Photoshop.
